Contemporary Jazz veteran Chieli Minucci and Special EFX are back in action in 2017 with a cool gig coming up in New York City and a new album on the way. No doubt the band will be rolling out some new tunes at their gig playing New York City's club THE CUTTING ROOM on February 11th.
Chieli states via his website; "Special EFX is poised to release a brand new CD, entitled, “Deep As the Night”, in early spring 2017! The new release features 12 original compositions, with wonderful musical performances by drummer Lionel Cordew, bassist Jerry Brooks, keyboardist Jay Rowe, percussionist Mino Cinelu, and saxman David Mann, as well cameo spots by violinist Antoine Silverman, pianist Lao Tizer, keyboardist Nicholas Cole, and saxophonist Elan Trotman. We are excited to be joining the Trippin N Rhythm Records family."
