The world famous Blue Note has opened in Beijing and it is hopping! Patrick Lamb, fresh off shows there last week with Jeff Lorber Fusion shares some thoughts on the gig and the venue exclusively with SJN.
Lamb shares: "I have played Blue Note’s from Indonesia to Japan to New York with different artists, and this was right up there as one of the largest and most sophisticated of their new clubs.
I must say it is always an honor to share the stage with producer/artist Jeff Lorber - we performed several shows and music from Jeff Lorber’s last few releases with Jimmy Haslip, Lionel Cordew, and of course the man himself Jeff Lorber January 13th and 14th 2017.
During the day we walked around down to Tiananmen Square. I had been a little nervous about going because the air quality on a scale of 1-4 was a 4 with a red alert going on. I was aware of the
smog and could feel it in my lungs the first day but after that it cleared up and was beautiful."
