Kenny G and Sandy in the morning

Bar none, saxophonist Kenny G is the biggest name in smooth jazz.

He’s the top-selling instrumentalist in history, with more than 70 million albums sold worldwide. He’s a Grammy® winner who wows audiences with his breath control, sweet tone and emotional style. He’s even been named the best golfer in music by Golf Digest magazine.

Kenny Gorelick has been a professional musician since 1976, when he joined Barry White’s Love Unlimited Orchestra. The Seattle native eventually graduated from the University of Washington and joined Jeff Lorber Fusion, led by the pioneering smooth jazz keyboardist.  After two albums he went solo, and made his debut as a leader in 1982.

Kenny G’s fourth CD, Duotones, featured the song that would make him a star, “Songbird”, and made him an in-demand guest player among the likes of Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin. His recording career has never slowed, with over a dozen CDs to his credit (including four holiday releases) and a Grammy® for composing “Forever In Love”.

His best-loved songs include the aforementioned “Songbird” as well as “Silhouette”, “Baby G”, “Midnight Motion” and “The Moment”. On his 2004 release At Last: The Duets Album, Kenny teamed up with David Sanborn on a cover of “Pick Up The Pieces” and with Earth, Wind & Fire on an inspired version of “The Way You Move”.

Sandy Kovach’s cheerful voice has been referred to as “vocal sunshine” and combined with her love for music, information and people; she’s your perfect wake up companion! A number one rated drive time host in Detroit for many years, Sandy loves really connecting with her listening audience.

A noted voice actress, Sandy can be heard on national commercials, internet videos, in-store audio and more- including a recurring role as the voice of Detroit Public Television. A social media enthusiast and blogger, Sandy also tries to share motivation and inspiration through this exciting medium. She’s active in her community and donates her voice, audio production and social media skills to charities like The American Heart Association, Covenant House Michigan, Project Mother’s Day and her church.

Sandy considers “mom” to be her most important title and believes finding a healthy balance in life is key. She hopes to pass that along to her listeners: “Other than the thrill of working with someone with the magnitude of Kenny G, I am most excited about helping people to get a successful start to their days,” she says.
